Melissa Coleman Sperber | Dancer

Melissa_1Melissa Coleman Sperber, a Florida native, began dancing after an eight-year competitive gymnastics career. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Florida (UF), where she had the honor of performing at the Kennedy Center as part of the American College Dance Festival Nationals in 2010. She has performed professionally with the Neta Dance Company (NYC) and ClancyWorks Dance Company (Washington, DC). In 2012 Melissa completed an AmeriCorps State/National service term, teaching after-school dance programs to underserved youth in Baltimore City, MD. Melissa joined Sarasota Contemporary Dance in 2013 as a dancer and Administrative Coordinator, and became Company Manager in 2015. Melissa also teaches at Woodland Fine Arts Academy, and is currently pursuing her RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Certificate.
