Claire Kendall began her dance training in her hometown of Santa Fe, NM at the School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. In January 2018, she graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a BFA in Dance and Minor in Biology. Prior to her studies at Purchase, she attended High School diploma from University of North Carolina School of the Arts in the Ballet Department. In Fall 2016 she was selected to study abroad at Korea National University of Art in Seoul, South Korea, where she focused on Choreography and Dance Performance. Claire began exploring choreography as a sophomore at SUNY Purchase College back in 2015. Since then, she has created six pieces and many collaborative projects with musicians, actors, filmmakers, and photographers. Most notably, she was selected to show her work, Abendempfindung, at the Seoul Choreography Festival in December of 2016 and she performed in her work, Chain Reaction, at Earth Day 2017 in Union Square. A Midsummer’s Nightmare, a work Claire created through T2’s SPRINGbreak ChoreoFest, is her first choreographic commission selected to be redeveloped and set on the T2 dancers for the Boulder International Fringe Festival 2018.
