Samantha Lewis | Apprentice Dancer

While she was in high school, Samantha started training and competing with La Roche Academy of Dance in Castle Rock, CO under the direction of Sarah Robison. Apart from her studio work, Samantha also studied dance at Douglas County High School, as a part of the International Baccalaureate program, and the National Dance Honor Society, as a student of Judi Hofmeister.

During her collegiate years at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, she has been instructed by Judy Bejarano, Chung-Fu Chang, Jane Slusarski-Harris, Madeline Harvey, Matthew Harvey, Lisa Morgan, and James Wallace. She has had the opportunity to take masterclasses from artistic directors such as Janet Johnson of Ormao Dance Company,  Raffaele Morra of Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and Denise Vale of the Martha Graham Dance Company. In May 2020, she will obtain her BA in Dance from CSU.

In the Fall of 2019, Samantha had the opportunity to perform with Edgar L. Page: Feel the Movement. Along with performing, Samantha loves exploring her choreographic process. She has adjudicated one solo and three group pieces: Moonlight, Tactus, Aching for Spring, and La Migración es Hermosa, all of which have been selected by CSU faculty through the adjudication process to be showcased at various CSU fall and spring dance concerts. Since her freshman year, Samantha has been awarded a spot on the Dean’s list, and is very grateful to have been awarded the Grace and Dwight Harris scholarship, along with the Creative and Performing Arts Award each year.

Samantha is thrilled to be collaborating and performing with T2 Dance Company as an apprentice!
