A literary and contemporary dance collaboration between T2 Dance Company and local Poet, Joe Howard, exploring loss and what is left behind to be found. Featuring Vocalist Anne Martinez, and film work by Hassan Keivan.

The show also features a new work by the selected Guest Choreographer of T2’s ChoreoFest, Will Clayton.

Joe Howard (Poet)
At 74, Joe Howard is a late bloomer as a poet. Since moving to Boulder, Colorado, eleven years ago, he’s been invited to read his lyric poems for Boulder Arts Week, Boulder Open Studios, and on air at KGNU in Boulder and on WNUR radio in Evanston, Illinois. In 2014, he was invited to contribute to Veterans’ Voices: A Collection of Poetry and Prose from American Veterans, which was performed live at The Dairy Arts Center. Joe has collaborated with visual artists Annette Coleman and Dan Chapman, and with T2 Dance Company for its 2020 production of George Street. Last year, he co-produced a 2-hour radio poetry anthology for WNUR and self-published his first collection of poetry entitled “Volume One.” 

Anne Martinez (Vocalist)
Anne Martinez is a classically trained singer and vocal coach based in Boulder, Colorado. Beginning her musical journey at a young age studying piano and voice, Anne has a degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado. During her studies, Anne consistently won first place at multiple National Association of Teacher of Singers competitions and other local contests. 
Anne has enjoyed a diverse musical career, both as a soloist and in collaboration with local artists for a variety of genres. She has directed choirs in public schools, organized local children’s choirs, and has led and performed with other professional musicians hundreds of times at churches, concerts, and other private events. She now operates a private vocal studio, teaching aspiring singers of all ages and genres and is passionate about helping people develop a lifelong love for singing.

A. Hassan Keivan (Videographer)
Film, Architecture, painting and Photography composes a relatively large part of the artist’s productions. During his careers in visual art and architecture, he began to study in film which he loved from early years. He has made several short films and one feature films and participated in some festivals. One of his short films named J & B was made in Australia and accepted by Short Film Corner in Cannes film festival 2014.
His first feature film has become the Best Film in many film festivals.
